Step 3: How to create project data step by step

In the previous section, we created master data. When working with projects and controlling material flows with Siqnal, there are two methods to bind bills of materials to reservations and purchases. When working with projects over a longer period of time, it becomes clear that both methods are required in real life.

With method 1, bills of materials are the foundation of purchases or stock reservations. Click on the two videos below to see how.

Video 1 - How to work with Project BOMs - Direct Purchase of BOM Articles

Video 2 - How to work with Project BOMs - Direct Reservation of BOM Articles

With method 2, it is the other way around. Purchases and reservation of articles are done in advance and at a later date in the project, these are bound to bills of materials. Click the videos below to see how.

Video 3 - How to manage a Reservation of an Article to a Project

Video 4 - How to manage a Purchase of an Article to a Project

Video 5 - How to work with Project BOMs - Merge BOM Articles to Project Article

Video 6 - How to work with Project BOMs - Merge BOM Articles to Purchase that exists

In most cases, a completed project will have a surplus of articles. These can be reverted back to the stock with a few mouse-clicks, which will make them available in the regular company stock.

Video 7 - How to move Article surplus on a Project to Stock

The last video shows how to create shipment of articles throughout the lifetime of a project, based on the modules Project BOMs and Project Articles.
